ChromeWiz Privacy Policy

ChromeWiz operates the ChromeWiz website and DealerCarSearch Marketplace Poster browser extension. This notice explains what the service collects and why.

Information we process

To start a 24-hour trial, you enter an email address. The extension detects the dealership website domain and sends that domain, the email address, and verification requests to ChromeWiz. Our servers retain the trial start and expiry to prevent repeated trials. We may process the contact name, email, phone number, dealership domain, selected plan and checkout status that you voluntarily provide when subscribing.

The extension reads relevant vehicle details and images from supported dealership webpages when you activate the importer. Those details are used to prepare a Facebook Marketplace listing for your review; ChromeWiz does not automatically publish listings. Temporary extension storage may hold your in-progress listing and settings. Do not enter sensitive personal information into vehicle descriptions.

Payments and verification

Verification emails are delivered by our email service provider, Resend. Subscription checkout is handled by Stripe; Stripe collects and processes payment card and billing details under its own privacy terms. ChromeWiz stores subscription, payment status, invoice references and refund records, not full payment-card numbers.

Diagnostics and access

When an extension error is reported, ChromeWiz may receive limited technical error details needed to troubleshoot the problem. Routine usage and successful posting activity are not collected as analytics by the extension's diagnostic reporting. Administrative account activity is audited for security. Authorized administrators can access the information necessary to manage trials, subscriptions, refunds and support.

Purposes and sharing

We use information to verify email ownership, manage dealership access, process payments, provide support, prevent trial abuse and protect the service. We share information with service providers only as necessary to deliver those functions, including Stripe and Resend. We do not sell personal information. Marketing messages, if introduced, will include unsubscribe options as applicable.

Retention and choices

Trial eligibility and payment records may be retained to prevent repeat trials, meet accounting requirements and resolve disputes. In-progress extension data can be cleared from Chrome's extension storage; doing so does not reset a server-side trial. You can request access, correction or deletion of eligible information by contacting support. Some billing and anti-fraud records must be retained where legally required.

Security

ChromeWiz uses authenticated server endpoints, protected administration access, and Stripe-hosted payment processing. No internet service can promise absolute security.
